Ladies All American

The Ladies All American will be held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, January 10th, 11th, and 12th. Thursday and Friday games will start at 6:15 PM and Saturday’s game(s) will start at 9:30.

Sign up on-line by Monday, December 31th.  

 

The All-American has been sponsored by the USWCA since 1966.  The All American is an inner-club event designed to encourage the involvement of women – new and experienced curlers- so they may have curling bonspiel experience within their own club and to foster a greater awareness of women’s curling and the role of the USWCA.  Clubs all over the US are holding the same event on home ice.  The winners of each club are awarded beautiful All American pins provided by the USWCA.

All ladies who are league eligible full members of the Cape Cod Curling Club are encouraged to participate in this event and commit to curling all three days if possible to ensure a competitive balance is maintained.

1.    Team Selection:  Skips will be pre-selected from the sign up list and then teams will be organized in the same fashion as league selection.  However, once the selection has been made, the Skips will have a chance to view all the team line-ups to make sure they are equitable; allowing for modifications if necessary to ensure a polled consensus.

2.    Teams will play a round robin, and all teams will play each other once.  A minimum of four teams are required for a club with 26 or more active members.  The number of games each team plays will depend on how many teams are created.  For example, four teams (16 participants) will play 3 games each and five teams (20 participants) will play 4 games each.

3.    More information will be provided with the specific draw times once the number of teams is determined.

4.    Registration fee of $15 is required to cover food, prizes, and other minor expenses and should be collected by each Skip prior to the start of the first game.
